Standard for Temperature Testing of Printers

On 2023-May-Thu

As a commonly used office equipment, printers are generally not used in harsh environments, but manufacturers still need to test according to the international standards to meet different customer needs.

The following are the reference standards for high and low temperature humidity and heat testing of laser printers:

1. Low temperature working test:

Place the laser printer into the test chamber and set the temperature to 5 ℃. The test lasts for 2 hours, during which a specified printing test is conducted for 1 hour to check whether the sample is working properly. The recovery time shall not be less than 2 hours until the condensation disappears, and final testing shall be conducted.

2. Low temperature storage test:

Adjust the temperature of the test chamber to -25 ℃, and continue the test for 16 hours without power on the test sample. The recovery time should not be less than 2 hours until the condensation disappears, and conduct the final detection.

3. High temperature working test:

After the low temperature test, enter the high temperature test, set the test chamber temperature to 35 ℃, and the test lasts for 2 hours. During this period, perform the specified printing test for 1 hour to check whether the sample is working properly. The recovery time shall not be less than 2 hours, and final testing shall be conducted.

4. High temperature storage test:

Adjust the temperature of the test chamber to 40 ℃, and conduct a 16 hour test on the test sample without power, with a recovery time of no less than 2 hours, for final testing.

5. Constant damp heat working test:

The laser printer is placed in a constant temperature and humidity chamber, with a test chamber temperature of 35 ℃ and a relative humidity of 80% RH. The sample is operated with power on, and the test lasts for no less than 2 hours to stabilize the sample temperature. During this period, a specified printing test is conducted for 1 hour to check whether the sample is working properly. The recovery time shall not be less than 2 hours until the condensation disappears, and final testing shall be conducted.

6. Constant damp heat storage test:

Adjust the temperature of the test chamber to 40 ℃ and the relative humidity to 93% RH. The test sample should be stored for 48 hours without electricity, with a recovery time of at least 2 hours, until the condensation disappears, and then undergo final testing.
